"I am pleased that the Valparaiso Family YMCA offers such a subsidized membership. This program gives all families a chance to participate in their facilities. The subsidized program allows the YMCA to evaluate your income verses your expenses & determines how they can HELP. I believe with the subsidized membership program, the YMCA truly stands for their name stands for (Young Men.s Christian Association). This is a true concern that they do not want to see any families left out.
My son participates in the basketball programs the Y offers, as well as enjoying swimming, and using the gym to practice his basketball skills. My son enjoys the YMCA so much; it.s hard to get him to stay home.
My daughter uses the YMCA to workout and also takes a jazz dancing class there.
With Valparaiso being a small community and not a lot of happenings here for young people, my children make the YMCA their hang out."

Summer Hours effective May 14, 2007 through September 30, 2007 are:
Monday - Thursday: 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Friday 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED
Fall /Winter Hours
Monday - Friday: 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Saturday: 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sunday: 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Note: The YMCA is closed on the following days: Labor Day, Popcorn Festival Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, and Independence Day
Early Closings: The facility will close early on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. During inclement weather, call to check on closings.
