"Building Character – One Asset at a Time"
In order to help support these scholarship and assistance programs, we organize an annual campaign every year to raise funds to meet the needs of individuals and families in our community. This year, we have enlisted the help of community leaders and volunteers to help raise $150,000 toward these scholarships. With your help, we will succeed!

- build self-confidence by providing swim lessons and water safety programs for three children in our community.
- A gift of $150 will...
- make it possible for a child to attend two weeks of summer day camp filled with fun activities and opportunities to make new friends.
- A gift of $300 will...
- allow four kids to learn skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork through participation in YMCA Youth Sports Camps.
- A gift of $500 will...
- provide a YMCA membership for a Single Parent Family for a full year.
- A gift of $1000 will...
- enable one child to attend a YMCA after-school program for a year, a fun and safe alternative to being home alone.

The Valparaiso Family YMCA has established an Endowment Fund with the Porter County Community Foundation as well as the YMCA Foundation for gifts to secure the future of our YMCA within our community. There are many ways to support the YMCA for generations to come including gifts of stock, life insurance, retirement plans, wills, and trusts.
