Move It to Lose It

Get It Started! Phase I

Are you serious about making a positive change to your health and well being? Have you tried exercise and nutrition programs in the past but have not stuck with it? Do you need help getting started and motivated? This program is for you!

Receive 3 hours of trainering per week for 7 weeks, with 30 minutes of lecture and 60 minutes of circuit training each day. There are weekly weigh-ins, 3 fitness assessments, food journaling, exercise, nutrition lectures, and - most importantly - a group of people to work with who have the same goals as you!

Keep Moving and Losing! Phase II

Have you completed "Move It to Lose It" and want to keep going? Then this program is for you ! Kristina Vanderwal continues this program that includes a weekly workout with your trainer, fitness assessments, weekly weigh-ins, activity logs, and food journals. The goal of Phase II is to help you continue focusing on your healthy lifestyle changes and to enjoy the camaraderie of a group.

Nutrition Consultation

Honna Kozik, R.D. is now available to meet you at the YMCA to help you reach your nutritional goals. Whether you want to safely lose weight, reduce your risk of diseases such as cancer, diabetes, or heart disease, train for a sport, or embark on a vegetarian diet, this one-hour consultation can help you on your way. Call Carrie Koch at 462-4185, ext. 249 to schedule an appointment with Honna at the YMCA. One 60-minute session $65 for Members $75 for Community Follow-up Consultations $35 for Members $40 for Community 

Nutrition Lectures

A variety of speakers present different lectures on nutritional topics.

Learn how to begin a vegetarian diet or how to incorporate vegetarian dishes into your meal plan with Registered Dietician Honna Kozik.
