Youth Sports

Whether it’s a swim lesson, t-ball, basketball, gymnastics, or any other youth program available through the YMCA, kids learn so much more than just the rules of the game. They learn about core values, like caring, honest, respect, and responsibility. We emphasize the importance of teamwork as well as the fundamentals. In many instances, we don’t even keep score. Because at the Y, it isn’t whether you win or lose. It’s how you play the game. The game of life.

Goal

Our goal is to create a fun and safe environment for the youth and adults of our community and to foster lifelong learning and growth through involvement in programs and physical fitness.

The Sports Department provides quality programming through the training and education of staff and volunteers. Our staff holds certifications in AED; CPR; First Aid; Blood Borne Pathogens; Listen, Care, Share; and, Child Abuse Prevention.

Volunteers

Youth and adult volunteers are always appreciated. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering in any of our Youth Sports programs, please contact Sports Director Cody Bischoff at 462-4185 x. 235. All adult volunteers undergo a limited background check.
