Youth Aquatics
Welcome to Youth Aquatics!
Our goal is to help our young participants grow mentally, physically, and spiritually, through instructional and recreational programs, designed for all ages, abilities, levels, and interests. These programs lay a foundation of water skills and safety guidelines so families can enjoy a lifetime of safe, healthy aquatic activities. Be sure to check our Aquatics bulletin board in the hallway between the Leisure Pool and Lap Pool entrance doors for the current Pool Schedule, program registration reminders, and Aquatics happening
Swim Lessons
Our Swim Lessons give every participant the chance to learn and succeed, and every lesson includes the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Program categories include Infant; Preschool; Grade School; Middle School; Adult; Private, and Semi-Private. Participant age (on the first day of the session) and ability determine swim lesson level. Testing is available for anyone new to our swim lesson program, or for anyone who has not participated for an extended time, and will ensure placement in the appropriate swim lesson level.
Specialty Programs & Recreation
Our Specialty programs include Scouting Merit Badges and Adaptive Recreation and Leisure Program.
Our Recreational programs include Lap Swim and Open Swim. Please be sure to check the current Pool schedule for available times and features.
Staff
All Aquatics staff members receive trainings in child abuse prevention, disease transmission prevention, and customer service. Our lifeguards hold current certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and Professional Rescuer CPR/AED. Our instructors may hold the same certifications as our lifeguards, as well as other job-related certifications. At least one lifeguard is on duty during pool operating hours.
