Before & After School Care

The YMCA before and after school program is a great way for kids to start and end the day. The YMCA before and after school programs provide an environment where children can easily make friends, be part of a group, and participate in healthy activities where they are respected and appreciated. FAMILY MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNT: 15% OFF Second Child for Valpo YMCA Members. 

​​• Before School: 6AM-8:15 AM | (Valparaiso Public Schools Only) (Child must be on-site by 8 AM in order to get on the bus)
• ​After School: Upon Arrival-6PM

* A charge of $2 per minute will be applied to any pick-up after 6 PM.

A non-refundable registration fee will be due BEFORE you enroll your child into Before and After School Care.   
Valpo YMCA Member: $75, Non-Member: $100

Valpo YMCA Member Price weekly: $46, Non-Member weekly $61

AFTER SCHOOL FEES
Valpo YMCA Member Price weekly: $46, Non-Member weekly $61

East Porter County Schools: Weekly flat rate of $50

• If School closes early, Y Care will not run.
• If the YMCA is closed there will be no care available.​​
• Care is not offered on E-Learning Days

• Transportation is only for the Valparaiso schools listed that we serve. Space is limited.

Full and Half day FUN Days program invites children to try new experiences, giving children opportunities to explore new activities and build relationships. We provide a trusting environment where you and your child will feel welcomed.

ENROLL

• Follows planned Valparaiso school closures
• Students must be here by 9:30am or they will not be accepted that day
• Must be registered for Y child programing w/current paperwork on file
• Breakfast is provided 7-7:30 am
• Bring a full peanut-free lunch and drink
• Depending on the FUN Day there may be a field trip
• Snacks are provided

FUN Day Fees:
• Full Day (6AM-6PM) Member $35 / Non-Member $50 |  Half Day (Noon-6PM) Member $20 / Non-Member $35  |  Full Day with Field Trip $41

*Fun days are only available to currently enrolled children in the school age before and after school program

• All paperwork is due to the Child Care Office the Wednesday prior to the week of care
• We offer after school care at 5 different locations
• Before school is only available for Valparaiso Public Schools
• Care is offered until 6pm. Late fee applies after 6pm
• One registration packet per child is sufficient for ALL Y Child Care programs
