At the YMCA, kids develop all of their skills, from catching and dribbling to teamwork and sportsmanship. Youth Sports are offered year-round and always need great coaches. Use your talents to encourage, guide and train young athletes at the Y!

General Notes for All Youth Sports:
- We pride ourselves on providing safe programs for your children to participate in. To learn more about our Safe Sports Act click here.
- All team Youth Sports require a reversible Y jersey. Jerseys are available as a one-time fee of $16 and may be used for all sports in a given year. Example: youth sports jersey purchased for Basketball may also be used for Volleyball, Soccer, T-Ball, etc.
T-Ball | Ages 3-7
T-Ball is designed to teach young players the fundamentals of the game. Participants will learn how to catch, throw, and bat in a fun team atmosphere. Every child plays at least half of every game while making friends and learning new techniques.
Indoor Soccer | Ages 3 - Grade 6
A fast paced and energetic sport for children of all ages. We offer Indoor Soccer programs that will teach your child the fundamentals of ball control, passing and shooting. YMCA Soccer is designed to introduce the sport in a fun way to the youngest players and then continue to build skills, confidence and teamwork as players grow. Shin guards are not required but are recommended for all age groups. Through practice and games, children will develop coordination and motor skills to enhance skills such as quickness and agility.

Outdoor Soccer | Ages 3 - Grade 6
Our Y is hosting an Outdoor Soccer League that will include practices that will focus on ball handling skills, scoring plays, and developing as a better soccer player and sportsmanlike individual.
League runs May 22 - July 22, 2023. Pricing at $48 Member/$80 Non-Member. Register Now through May 8, 2023!
Basketball | Ages 3 - Grade 6
Volunteer coaches will lead children through practices focusing on the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, passing and defense. Players will have practice once per week (M-TH), with games held on Saturdays. Players will also look to focus on learning the game at younger ages and perfecting their game as they grow in age and skill.

Basketball Mini-Session | Ages 7-12
This program will focus on dribbling, passing, shooting and defense.
Basketball Skills Training | Ages 4+
Work with a personal coach during your 30 minute sessions for a personalized workout to refine your skills.
Cross Country | Ages 4-12
The philosophy of Y youth and teens sports programs is to use sports as a tool to develop each participant physically, mentally and spiritually. Emphasis is on teaching the values of good sportsmanship, teamwork, goal setting and skill development in a fun, esteem-promoting atmosphere. Cross Country is a sport in which teams or individuals run on an outdoor course on grass, dirt, gravel, and even through some light wooded terrain. The Y is looking to introduce the sport to young athletes who are looking to be active, add conditioning, or even have plans to one day try out for their high school cross country team.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Classes | Ages 4 - 13+
- Little Ninjas | Ages 4-6 | $25 Member/$50 Non-Member
- Young Ninjas | Ages 7-12 | $30 Member/$60 Non-Member
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu | Ages 13+ (Teens and Adults Must register at Front Desk (Monthly registration/pro-rated by week) | $40 Member/$80 Non-Member
Brazilian Jiu – Jitsu: BJJ is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and ground fighting. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, by taking the fight to the ground. The Jiu Jitsu practitioner then applies joint locks and choke holds to defeat the opponent.
Volleyball | Grade 1 - Grade 9
Pass, set, hit! With an emphasis on team spirit and sportsmanship, players have the opportunity to learn the basic volleyball fundamentals such as underhand serving, setting, hitting, blocking and digging in a fun and positive environment.

Dodgeball League | Grades 3-8
Dodgeball is a team sport in which players on two teams try to throw balls and hit opponents, while avoiding being hit themselves. Kids will be split up into teams: Division 1 (3-5 grade) Division 2 (6-8 grade). League runs Thursday evenings.

Tae Kwon Do | Ages 7+
Tae Kwon Do is an eclectic style of martial arts characterized by spinning and high kicks. The goal of this martial art is to help its practitioners develop needed skills, not only for the demanding physical moves that martial arts require but also for our daily lives. “We do not live to do martial arts; rather we do martial arts to live.” - Black Belt 3rd degree instructor Jose Rodea.
